Since 1952, Open Kitchen has been providing Charlotte residents with great pizza and a great experience. I thought it might be fun to try for this month, as the restaurant celebrates 60 years in business. Stepping into Open Kitchen is like stepping back in time. In these days of Papa Johns delivery and California Pizza Kitchen's nouveau recipes, it's nice to know there's still a place where you can go to get an old school pizza at a fair price.

Those looking for a more adventurous meal can try the famous Brachiole (beef stuffed with Italian sausage, prosciutto, and Genoa salami) or some of the other traditional Italian entrees.
