New Orleans native, Anitra Jay, was surrounded by Jazz, Blues, and R&B as a child with Gospel at the helm of her influence. Inspired by a range of artists from Bill Withers to Erykah Badu, her music is a down-to-earth blend of soul and poetry with modern sensibilities. She combines soul-catching melodies with real life experiences that leave you inspired and in a deeper state of mind. Anitra Jay regularly performs in and around Charlotte and is currently recording her newest album Genesis, which is scheduled to release this coming Fall.

A Colombian-American Singer-Songwriter passionate about driving social change and inspiring a greater awareness of the richness of the Latino culture and rhythms. Her acoustic concerts feature a mixture of original music with a combination of jazz, bossa nova and Latin American folk music.
