We are calling upon all of those concerned about the recent Arizona law. CAN YOU HELP US reserve Marshall Park for an important event on July 29th? Any amount would be appreciated -- $10 or more will help us a great deal. Checks should be made payable to Grassroots Leadership, earmarked \"July 29th event\".
Also, please join us Thursday, July 29th in Marshall Park to show our opposition to the Arizona SB 1070 anti-immigrant law. Although the DOJ has filed a lawsuit against the AZ law, that is the day it is scheduled to go into effect.
We will gather at this historical site to voice our concerns about how this unjust law will racially profile and the possibility of this law spreading to our state. (Please see the recent article in La Noticia about the event: http://www.lanotici a.com/Edicion% 20638/Locales. htm )
