A remarkable film about the Jews of Iquitos, Peru, descendants of Moroccan Jewish adventurers who came to the area during the 18th century rubber boom and married indigenous women. Original Jewish traditions mixed with the native Amazonian life creating an authentic and practically unknown Jewish tradition. A reflection of the survival of spirit, belief and heritage. Co-sponsored by the Charlotte Jewish Film Festival and the Levine-Sklut Judaic Library & Resource Center.
