The Light Factory Contemporary Museum of Photography and Film is conducting an outreach program entitled, Self Image. Students will participate in creating photographs and stop motion animations that express their personal perspective on their identity and anti-identity or stereotypes. Professional teaching artist, Jen Crickenberger, will guide students through the creative process in Hawthorne and Myers Park High Schools. In December, students from both schools with attend a sharing session in which they will discuss their issues with identity and stereotypes. The final art work will be on display in the Lochwalker and Skyway Galleries in Spirit Square. Please join us for the opening reception.
