• The Park Ministries will establish a Leadership Development Institute (LDI) that will bring together business leaders, clergy, and key community leaders to develop joint projects that will positively impact the Charlotte community. Upon completion of training, LDI participants (an advocacy group comprised of a cross section of the community) will be equipped and accessible to facilitate resolutions to critical community issues. • One of the joint projects referenced above, is the creation of the Young Black Men (YBM) Leadership Program to engage black males between the ages of 14 through 18 in an on-going leadership development process that includes leadership conferences, mentoring, summer work programs, and graduation celebrations. These, and other such programs, will help to extend a legacy of hope and empowerment for Charlotte.
